BGI Legal has contributed to the 2019 edition of the EIRA Report
We are pleased to announce that BGI Legal has contributed to the Energy Investment Risk Assessment Report (EIRA) 2019 by providing information on the regulatory environment of the energy sector in Georgia.
BGI was one of just three expert law firms from Georgia to be part of a team of distinguished energy experts who prepared the 2019 report published by the Energy Charter Secretariat.
This flagship publication assesses specific risks to energy investment that can be mitigated through adjustments to policy, legal and regulatory frameworks in 34 countries.
The Energy Charter Secretariat is an inter-governmental Brussels based organisation administering the Energy Charter Treaty, a multilateral trade and investment agreement comprising more than 50 countries and 40 observers. It is the only multilateral worldwide treaty devoted explicitly to energy and covering all energy forms. We are proud therefore of our contribution to such a significant project.
Lasha Gogiberidze (Partner), Ekaterina Aleksidze (Counsel) Tamar Morchiladze (Associate) and Giorgi Jolia (Associate) were the individual authors from BGI Legal contributing to the Georgia country section.
