BGI Legal participates in seminar on Third Parties in International Arbitration: Passers-by and Powers behind the Scenes

On October 8, 2015, Tamar Morchiladze, a junior associate at BGI Legal, participated in a seminar regarding “Third Parties in International Arbitration: Passers-by and Powers behind the Scenes”, organized by the US-based International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), which is the largest provider of global arbitration and dispute resolution. Tamar addressed the issue of non-signatories in international arbitration, discussing related theories and recent court and arbitration practice.

The seminar was part of Annual Arbitration Days in Georgia, followed by an international conference “Regional Development of Arbitration – Reality, Challenges and Perspectives”. The conference was organized by Georgian International Arbitration Centre (GIAC), supported by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The conference was attended by leading experts in international commercial and investment arbitration worldwide, young practitioners from various countries and also involved a wide range of Government officials and civil society representatives.
