Tamar Tkeshelashvili

Tamar Tkeshelashvili is a Junior Associate at BGI. Her responsibilities include research, drafting legal memoranda and various transaction documents, performing legal due diligence as well as assisting the litigation team with evidence collection and court submissions.
Prior to joining BGI in 2025, Tamar worked as an in-house lawyer at GeoSafety, an occupational health and safety consulting company. In this capacity, she was responsible for corporate legal support, contract drafting, policy development, dispute resolution, and performing duties as the firm's Personal Data Protection Officer.
In the past, Tamar has also gained practical experience through internships at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and at Rustavi City Court, assisting with legal research, case preparation, and judicial proceedings. Her experience further includes legal aid and research work with a non-governmental organization.
Tamar holds a degree in law from the Free University of Tbilisi. She has a strong background in practical legal competitions, including winning the National Client Consulting Competition in 2024 and representing Georgia at the Louis M. Brown/Forrest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition in Poland. She has also completed certified mediator training and additional professional courses in labor law and obligations law.
Tamar has passed the Georgian Bar Exam with General Specialization. In addition to her native Georgian, Tamar is proficient in English and has a working knowledge of Russian.
